I've gone to a few Macworlds in my day, but in recent years its been important for me to attend because of what has and will be changing. 

Its interesting to see how its different from year to year, and the various effects that have an impact on the attendance and overall mood of the show. 

Previous years I've been doing a mixture of networking, checking out products, and work. This Macworld will be different for me because its the first time I've attempted to register as press.

IDG, the company that runs Macworld, has got a special iPad event and several influential bloggers and podcasters as speakers. I'll be attending the iPad event and as many of the presentations as possible, and will blog whenever I have a chance and access to wifi.

This will be my first year filming for my own podcast on the show floor as well - in the past I have helped with filming other podcasts, but this time, I'll be out there promoting my show and taping reviews and short interviews with podcasters and other interesting figures in the Mac community.

I know that I'm going to run out of time and there's no way to tell what's going to happen, so you'll have to stay tuned to see what happens to iPod Grrl as she reunites with old friends and connects with new ones.
